ABOUT  

Meet our founder and CEO, Georgetta Medlock. Mrs.  Medlock is a Licensed Professional Counselor-Supervisor and owner of Medlock & Associates in Houston, Texas.  She holds the designation of LPC-Supervisor recognized by the State of Texas. She also holds several certifications including a National Certified Counselor (NCC)issued by the National Board of Certified Counselors and holds a specialty certification as a Clinically Certified Forensic Counselor.

She is an author, speaker, and emotional and mental wellness advocate. Mrs. Medlock has facilitated and participated in many events and panel discussions on the topic of mental and emotional wellness for various organizations including non-profits, and local school districts in and around the city.  She has an unwavering commitment to women and girls but her background encompasses a broad range of knowledge and experience. In addition to her many years with a Fortune 500 Managed Care company, where she was known for her keen mentoring, team building, leadership, and collaboration skills;  she has over 13 years with the Texas Department of Criminal Justice working with men and women released from the prison system. Her tenure with TDCJ expanded her knowledge of the criminal justice system and broadened her experience in working with persons from diverse backgrounds and unique life experiences. She challenges all to see beyond their current circumstances by creating goals and a vision for their future selves. She hosts workshops and small groups that are filled with high energy, positivity, and activities that pour into the lives of girls and women, impacting the way that they see themselves and the world around them.
